Type à 3 essieux dont un seul essieu moteur, appelée
"Patentee" et conforme au brevet déposé par Stephenson
en 1833. Avec une chaudière allongée et le foyer
reporté en arrière de l'essieu porteur, cette
"longboiler" a été construite par Alfred Hallette
à Arras en 1845-46 pour la ligne Montereau-Troyes.
Elle fut utilisée pour des essais de chauffe à l'huile
minérale en 1868 mais qui n'eurent pas de suite.
Restaurée par les ateliers d'Epernay en 1969.
Designed with three axles and only the one driving axle, this locomotive named "Patentee" was similar to the 1833 Stephenson's patent. With a stretched boiler and the firebox behind the rear axle, this longboiler locomotive was build by Alfred Hallette in Arras in 1845-46 for the Montereau-Troyes line in the east of France. Tests with oil were conducted in 1868 without follow up.
